I think it is important to promote our local residents who really offer something unique for families.
A few years ago, I signed up for Amber’s emails called “Active Parents”. I was so impressed with her knowledge of fun local events for families and resources in Halton.
Amber is a mom, writer and photographer behind Active Parents. She comes by this naturally as she has three daughters and a passion for family fun and connecting with her community.
Amber has been doing a really great job the last year during the pandemic helping families find things to do with their children as many things were closed.
She gives reviews and photos of the best family hikes, park and playgrounds and where to buy the best fitting masks for your kids. These are just a few of the great resources she has on her website.
Sometimes I wish had younger kids because I would definitely do the outdoor scavenger hunt posted on her website. My girls are now 30 and 33 and not interested. Lol Anyone want to join me?
I also found some great resources on where to send my donations and how to celebrate a birthday while social distancing and lawn sign rentals.
Active Parents website is well organized and easy to navigate whether you’re looking to do something at home or take your family outdoors.
I think we forget how much Halton has to offer. Thanks Amber, Active Parents is a gem for Halton families.
